Singeli is almost impossibly fast. One of the most radical rhythmic cultures in contemporary electronic music. Born in the streets and clubs of Dar es Salaam as a collision of traditional rhythmic forms, electronic production and MC culture, the Tanzanian style pushes to extraordinary speeds, becoming less beat than continuous physical acceleration. One of Singeli’s most distinctive producers, Jay Mitta is known for turning its raw rhythmic energy into increasingly intricate structures. Anti Vairas brings the human voice into this frenetic machinery: Electrifying MC, forceful storyteller, commanding rhythmic presence. Their music never attempts to settle into a groove: percussion racing ahead, patterns mutate, vocals cutting and spitting through the rush, a high energy balancing act on the edge of collapse.

Bobby Beethoven is the new project of Ashland Mines – also known for two decades as Total Freedom, one of the most adventurous DJs to emerge from the global club underground. Expect no conventional genre journey. Rap, hardcore, trance, noise, pop and experimental electronics can appear, collide and disappear abruptly. Familiar beats open into abstraction; fragments of a song become the raw material for a new musical direction. Mines has performed everywhere from Berghain and Fabric to Primavera and Sónar, while collaborating with artists including Arca, Kelela, Jason Moran and Lizzi Bougatsos. But the real medium is the set itself: DJing as live composition, montage and controlled surprise.

DJ, producer and activist Catu Diosis moves between Kampala and Cologne. An active member of the Nyege Nyege collective, she is also the founder of Dope Gal Africa, an organisation supporting female-identifying talent from Africa and the diaspora. Her DJ sets and productions move through Afro-inspired bass music, Afrobeats, African Dancehall and high-energy Global Sounds. Rhythms hit hard, basslines drive forward, and different strands of contemporary African club music meet in sets built for movement and connection. At Three Skies, Catu Diosis will appear as part of a Nyege Nyege Showcase, bringing the energy of one of East Africa’s most vital musical networks to Cologne.
